Pumpkin spice may be the king of all fall flavors but sometimes something slightly different is in order.Try one or more of these top fun fall drinks to sip on in the Erie region that are guaranteed to soothe your mood and invoke thoughts of crackling fires and cozy sweaters.

1. The Smoked Old Fashioned

This unique twist on a classic is a blend of Altered State’s award-wining American Whiskey (a mix of malted and cherry smoked barleys), house made simple syrup and angostura bitters finished with apple wood smoke. For a non-alcoholic option, try the chilled Immunitini mocktail, a refreshing combination of pineapple, juice, orange juice, house-made ginger honey lemon syrup and non-alcoholic hot ginger beer.

Many craft breweries along the Lake Erie Ale Trail release their version of an Oktoberfest lager to celebrate fall’s arrival. Traditionally, an Oktoberfest lager is a moderate-strength, rich lager brewed in traditional German style. It has a distinct and complex amber maltiness with toasted notes and a smooth, dry finish.
