Fish Lake Erie and it's creeks, tributaries and streams, explore our museums, take a mural arts tour, discover the Lake Erie Wine Trail and the Lake Erie Ale Trail and so much more! Don't forget: Presque Isle State Park is open year-round with miles of trails to explore in addition to fishing, birding, biking or taking a leisurely drive to admire the Park's beautiful fall foliage. All of our partner businesses are following social distancing guidelines with safety protocols in place.
Erie County’s attractions and retail shops are important components of our tourism industry and much like everyone else, they have seen a shift in how they operate. Common practices are being taken by all attractions and retailers to ensure the safety of Erie residents and visitors alike. Maintaining social distancing guidelines, appointment-only hours and limiting the number of guests allowed inside at one time are just a few precautions. If you have questions about a business and their hours of operation, please check with them individually before you go. Support local/shop local!
Most restaurants in Erie County are open and offer take-out, curb-side pick-up and/or delivery and are seating people inside at 50% capacity. VisitErie partners in the eat/drink sector have enacted several protocols in an effort to ensure a safe environment for their employees and quality food service for their customers.
Erie’s facilities have taken proper precautions to clean and sanitize while closed, and are implementing necessary precautions. Premiere facilities will continue to enforce social distancing at all properties with an increased focus on sanitation and reducing congestion.
As sports make their return to Erie County, safety is the top priority. The Erie Sports Commission (a division of VisitErie) has published green phase information for sports tourism.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, VisitErie, Erie’s primary tourism promotion agency, formed the Erie County Tourism Recovery Task Force. This Task Force developed and communicated a report outlining implemented, planned and suggested protocols for the safe reopening of Erie County hospitality businesses. Through this collaborative effort, VisitErie’s goal is to assist in the reopening of the industry in accordance with government regulations to best protect potential visitors and Erie County residents.
