Every year, local brewers and guests come together for a fun-filled night of beer tasting & friendly competition, with guests voting for their favorite brewery to win and receive the Ales for Sails trophy for the year. Each ticket includes a souvenir glass, samples from each brewery, and one vote for your favorite brewery. Guests will also enjoy light hors d'oeuvres, a photo booth, a local DJ, and more!
The 12th Annual Ales for Sails will feature ten local craft breweries: Erie Ale Works, The Brewerie, Lavery Brewing, Nostrovia Brewing, Black Monk Brewery, Erie Brewing, Arundel Cellars & Brewing, Twisted Elk Brewery, Five & 20 Spirits & Brewing, and John Russell Brewing. The 2024 winning brewery was Erie Ales Works, and we can't wait to see who will come out on top in 2025!
This annual beer tasting event is one of the main fundraising efforts that supports the Bayfront Maritime Center (BMC). As a local nonprofit, BMC works to create opportunities for the community to connect with the water, learn valuable skills, and experience the joys of the maritime world – regardless of ability, background, or financial means. Our work is driven by a belief in the year-round transformative power of Lake Erie and the boundless opportunities that come with it.
