NOW OPEN! Pop-Up Exhibit
“March is Maple Syrup Month”
in the Watson-Curtze Mansion.
For centuries the sap running from the maple trees has signaled spring in this part of the world – and only in this part of the world! Erie County is right in the middle of North America’s maple syrup region.
For this Pop Up, we borrowed artifacts and images related to making and serving maple products from the Hurry Hill Maple Museum. We will also recognize that March is Women’s History month with information about the Newbery Award winning author of Miracles on Maple Hill, Virginia Sorensen, who lived in Erie County/Edinboro when she wrote the book.
Pop In through the end of March to see this sweet exhibit!
