Figure Drawing Workshop @ Foundation Art Academy
A fast-paced and exciting day to learn to draw from a model in-studio. This is a perfect workshop for beginner and intermediate artists.
Enrollment fee: $195
Various methods of recording the human form from a model in-studio will be undertaken during this one-day workshop. Students will be introduced to techniques including contour drawing, linear gesture drawing, and shadow mass gesture drawing, and will work from the most basic methods to more complex techniques. The day will culminate with an extended pose and longer-term drawing and a brief group critique. A 30 minute lunch break will be taken half-way through the day. Students are responsible to pack a lunch. Refrigeration is available.
No drawing experience is required; this workshop is perfect for beginning artists and will also be beneficial for those who work at an intermediate level.
All necessary supplies will be provided by Foundation Art Academy. Students may bring their own supplies if they wish, but this is not necessary.
Foundation Art Academy serves students aged 12-112.
All students must be at least 12 years old to participate in any FAA programming. Students in this age range must possess the tenacity to work through a project with focus and the ability to accept constructive criticism.
