We are pleased to announce the Mount Pleasant Mountain Bike and Run/Walk Challenge. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic, we will be unable to host our traditional Fall Harvest Celebration and 5k/10M Run/Walk/Bike Race.
This will be a virtual race for both mountain bikers, walkers, and runners. It will be held at the ski area starting Saturday, August 29th through Monday, September 7th and may be completed at your own socially distanced pace. Our trail gnomes have worked hard to develop an approximately 5.5-mile race loop traversing the slopes of Mount Pleasant. We offer a little bit of something for everyone and have over 10 different classes to register in.
Participants may tackle the course multiple times over the 10-day span and then they may enter a time for each race. The course is a virtual challenge and all times are on the honor system. Please see the link below for more information. All proceeds from the race go directly back to the trail system.
Winners of each class will win 25% of the entries and 25% will go to one randomly picked participant in the class! Even if you may not have the fastest time, you may win!
We are also pleased to announce that Loud Performance of Bemus Point, New York, will be joining us on Saturday, August 29th from 12 noon to 4 pm to kick off the event! They will offer bike demos, tune-ups and 2 clinics (1pm and 3pm).
Following the completion of the first Challenge, we anticipate hosting additional Challenges every two weeks into October.
