As our thank you for all the incredible support and involvement since the global pandemic descended upon us, Asbury Woods is pleased to offer a modified version of our traditional Winter Wonderland event.
For 2020, the boardwalk adjacent to the Andrew J. Conner Nature Center at Asbury Woods will be lit up December 4 - 31 (except Dec. 24 and 25) from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. for the community to enjoy a peaceful evening stroll on the boardwalk through the woods.
Holiday lights will twinkle in the woods and wetlands along the boardwalk which covers 1/3 of a mile. Access to the lighted boardwalk will be free and open to the public as a special way to thank the community for continuing to visit Asbury Woods, attend our programs and make donations as we have weathered the pandemic and shifted our ways of operating.
Thanks to the community’s support and participation, we’ve been able to operate in modified ways and still fulfill our mission of environmental education, nature appreciation and outdoor recreation. Donations will be accepted on-site but are not required. Although we will miss the many other activities that made Winter Wonderland special, we are pleased to still offer this magical way to connect with nature during the holiday season.
