Albion Area Fairgrounds (off Route 6N)
Albion, Pennsylvania 16401
The Albion Area Fair, which will celebrate its 76th anniversary year in 2020, is one of only four county fairs occurring annually in Erie County. It is a five-day event hosted at the Albion Borough Park. The Albion Area Fair provides quality farm exhibits which include livestock, crops, horticulture and floriculture, exhibits of folk and domestic arts which include clothing, needlework, photography, baking, canning and finer arts, truck and antique tractors pulls, milking and arts demonstrations, contests, children's games, live musical entertainment, amusement park rides, a parade and rides on the historic Albion Carousel. It averages 1,100 - 1,300 exhibitors and 18,000 - 20,000 attendees annually.
Community pride and the value of volunteer service shine more brightly during the annual fair than during any other event in the west county. The fair utilizes more than 350 community volunteers.
The Albion Area Fair contributes to the vitality of the community by celebrating the agricultural traditions, music art and food of rural Erie County. This type of social and cultural resource contributes indelibly to the county's identity, quality of life, and economy.
