  • Presque Isle Lighthouse new gift shop opens February 2018 – Presque Isle State Park
  • Beach 8 at Presque Isle State Park –The $3.5 million project will include a new concession area, 2 new bath houses with private restrooms, new parking and beachfront promenade (Beach 6-8), a new area included at the far eastern end of Beach 8, a new ADA (handicapped) beach access point and on the eastern end of the main parking area, a completely new beach access and parking area are part of the project. Summer 2018
  • Woody’s Backwater BARge & Grill – With access by boat or car, Woody's will operate on a barge located in the East Slip right next door to the ever popular Rum Runners Restaurant. Woody's will be capable of providing bar and table seating on land or water with the area's first ever floating patio! Woody's menu will feature Louisiana inspired dishes, paninis, sandwiches, wraps plus a full-service bar and a host of frozen delights.   • George Washington Trail 265th Anniversary – (photo) Washington’s Trail 1753 is a driving route through western PA commemorating George Washington’s first military and diplomatic mission in the fall and winter of 1753-1754.  WT celebrates its 265th anniversary in 2018 with community events planned all along the trail. Watch for the large blue and white highway markers and visit www.WashingtonsTrail.org for more information and to download a brochure and map of the route.

  • ERIEBANK Sports Park – formerly known as Family First Sports Park, the new ERIEBANK Sports Park will include a double-pad ice arena, eight natural and artificial soccer/lacrosse/football fields, a four-season indoor turfed dome training facility, a four-court professional basketball and volleyball gymnasium, and a four-diamond baseball park with artificial infields.  Phase 1 to take place between Jan-Aug 2018.
