Port Farms has been family-owned and operated since 1897, evolving over five generations from a potato farm into a year-round destination rooted in agriculture and hospitality. As the farm grew, fourth-generation owners Jerry and Kelly Port envisioned a brewery that would celebrate the land while offering a welcoming place to gather.
That vision became Poverty Knob Farmhouse Ales, a brewery inspired by farming traditions and crafted with an emphasis on quality, flavor, and connection. The family- and dog-friendly brewery features handcrafted beer, shareable food, and a relaxed atmosphere with games, live music, and seasonal entertainment.
