The storybook walk is an opportunity to read the book The Birdwatchers by Simon James as you meander a short trail loop adjacent to the Wasiesky Teaching Pavilion, near the Nature Center. The storybook walk was developed and installed by 14-year old Kendall Laurin for her Girl Scouts Silver Award project.
The storybook walk officially opens on Saturday, September 10 and will be up through the end of October. To further celebrate this new project, Asbury Woods will have a special Drop In and Discover Program on September 10 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. where children of all ages can learn about the fascinating world of birds. The Drop In and Discover Program as well as the storybook walk are free and open to the public.
Open daily during daylight hours September 10 – October 31.
