The three-day event is the final event of the Race of Champions’ 2022 asphalt racing calendar. The event is the second-longest consecutive-running auto racing event in North America, second only to the Indianapolis 500. This marks the return of the event to Erie for the sixth consecutive year.
Event festivities will get underway on Friday, Sept. 23, with practice beginning for approximately 100 top racing teams from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Events continue Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25 with the Sportsman Modified, Super Stocks, Late Models, Four Cylinder Dash, TQ Midget, 602 Sportsman Modified, Street Stock and the finale, the 72nd Annual Race of Champions 250.
