JR'S is a well known stop for comedians preparing for network specials and tours. The saying that “If it works in Erie, it will work anywhere” is a fact. In 1998, comedian David Brenner spent two consecutive weeks at JR'S preparing for his HBO “Live at the Venetian” Special. By word of mouth, Mr. Brenner started a trend that goes on to this day and has very much helped put JR'S on the map. We will be forever grateful to Mr. Brenner and he will always be in our Hearts.
