Purpose:

The goal of the VisitErie Tourism Marketing Co-op Program is to promote the co-op partner and Erie County as a tourism destination. VisitErie will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for selected marketing programs targeting travelers outside of Erie County.

Available Funds: $35,000

VisitErie has a total of $35,000 in available funds to be awarded for tourism marketing in 2023. Matching funds will be awarded at two levels: $2,000 and $5,000. Approved projects will receive a dollar-for-dollar match from VisitErie.

Eligible Applicants:

Applicants must be located within Erie County, Pennsylvania and draw out-of-town consumers. VisitErie partners outside of Erie County are eligible to participate when partnering with an accommodation located in Erie County.

Note: Preference will be given to applicants who are VisitErie partners in good standing at the time of application, as well as facilities who have not previously received funding through this program. 

Qualifications

• Applicants must be VisitErie partners in good standing.
• Business may apply once per year unless otherwise expressly stated by VisitErie.
• Partners applying must develop a Marketing Plan outline to answer the questions in the form below.
• VisitErie logo must be included on promotional materials produced through this campaign, and on campaign landing pages.
• Marketing campaign must be executed by the applicant in the 2023 calendar year.
• One of VisitErie’s goals is to promote tourism all year round and proposals that include dates in the ‘off season’ will be viewed favorably.

How the program works if selected:

• Applications will be reviewed by four VisitErie staff members and will be scored based on these program criteria:

  • Regional Promotion
  • Program goals
  • Program
  • Budget
• Partners will develop and execute the marketing campaign and send materials to VisitErie for review prior to the launch of the campaign. Please allow 5 business days for approval.
• Business will track program to measure its success 30 days from the end of the campaign taking place.

Deadline for applications is March 3. Applicants will be notified by March 13.
