Take Home English Afternoon Tea
The Changing Silhouette: Women’s Styles in the Victorian Period
Presented by Hagen History Center Curator, Rebecca Weiser
During this time of limited social gatherings, The Hagen History Center would like to invite you to experience a classic English Afternoon Tea from the comfort of home while participating in a virtual presentation, The Changing Silhouette: Women’s Styles in the Victorian Period.
Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea of freshly made scones, lemon curd, tea sandwiches and dessert, in a lovely take-away box. Also included in each luncheon box will be a charming English teacup and saucer* (yours to keep), complete with a tea bag, to add an extra level of authenticity and fun to your Hagen History Center Afternoon Tea experience.
*Participants will have an option to opt out of the Tea Cup*
Guests may pick up their take-home tea box at the Watson-Curtze Mansion on Sunday, March 21st between Noon and 1:00 pm.
Our virtual Afternoon English Tea party will begin at 2:00 via a ZOOM meeting. You will have the opportunity to enjoy your luncheon with fellow tea party participants from the safety of your home while viewing our presentation, The Changing Silhouette: Women’s Styles in the Victorian Period.
